Poster Statement
Final Design

The Science Day poster of Jundishapur has been designed with inspiration drawn from the architecture of the historic Medical School building, recognized as the first faculty of the university’s current campus, and modeled after the architectural pattern of the Taq-e Bostan complex. The selection of Taq-e Bostan, dating back to the Sassanid era under Anushirvan the Just, reflects its historical coincidence with the peak of scientific and educational excellence of the Jundishapur University and its teaching hospital.

The visual composition intentionally brings together historical and contemporary elements. The cityscape of Ahvaz and the White Bridge, as symbols of the city’s modern identity, are juxtaposed with the triangular building—the first structure of the university’s reestablishment period, which served as the Medical School of Jundishapur for five years.

Overall, this poster adopts a conceptual approach to visually narrate the historical and scientific continuity of Jundishapur University, from the Sassanid era to the contemporary age, within a unified visual storyline.
